He and Eleisha end up being friendly, along with Wade, but, he continually ignores Eleisha’s advise about not feeding off and killing humans. This is more difficult to answer than I expected because JC is more than just my writing partner.

I just don’t like it when the main characters take a second, third and even fourth seat to some minor character. So when an old vampire friend kills himself, Eleisha is shocked. More than years later, Elisha still survives, still caring for her charge William but is suddenly thrust into danger. That all being said, I still very much liked it, though I did feel it was a bit short and as such rushed.

I actually won the third book, but Barb Hendee was a sweetheart and mailed me the first two as well. There are two hensee books in print with two scheduled in the next year or so.

I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to reading another in the series. The story is told mostly in first person from her POV and it’s strangely fascinating to read about how she lives and how she learned to continue her existance.
