But he found himself head over boots for the quirky cheerleader who turned her back on her social status. And so hard working for such a young age. Chase McCree is almost 18 and has spent his whole life on a ranch in Montana that has been in the McCree family for generations.

The plot and character descriptions were j.c.isabflla extremely well and as I said I really enjoyed her writing. This review and more can be seen at WinterHaven Books: My life before meeting Chase didn’t define me.

In this book, teen sex and resulting pregnancy are carefully skirted by these two virgin protagonists, with Chase honorably respecting the boundaries that Briar draws.

He helped her be true to herself and he showed her love. There she discovers another world, and apart of herself she never knew. Briar Thompson had it all. I also really loved Chase’s aunt and uncle and his friends. Hunky hero Fiery heroin Great secondary characters Conflicts thrown at the loving couple And an all out page turner What could be better! Mostly it was just for fun, for me. If I were to walk across a cowboy like Chase, I would jump in his arms an never look back, so I can’t take those choices and hold them against them.

Briar was more adult than teen in her thinking, and somehow I found her to be believable since she was an only child and seemed to have raised herself. Another thing was how no one believed that Briar could possibly love living on the McCree Ranch. I must give the disclosure that I liked this chaslng so much, because it actually runs a little parallel with my life.

Little Bookworm Reviews: Review: Chasing McCree by JC Isabella

As I said earlier I adored this book. Mccred that remarkable first meeting, a friendship forms between Briar Thompson, the cheerleader, and Chase. Speaking of Montana, one of the most fascinating aspects of this book as a YA novel is its setting. But living on a ranch can be dangerous too, with all the buyers out there wanting a piece of Chase’s 50, acres.

Not interested in j.c.isbella of that Chase decides he would rather gouge his eyes out instead of living here in Florida.

Chasing McCree (Chasing McCree, #1) by J.C. Isabella

I think I was expecting a little bit of a fluffy story, but there was a bit more depth to it than I initially thought. I loved that the point of view switches between Chase and Briar. Isabella writing and the story was cute.

I loved how solid they were in their love. While the city does provide more opportunities and endless entertainment, there is just something really calming and peaceful about being on a ranch. If you are a fan of swoon-worthy guys, cowboys, and sweet love stories She lives in Florida with her boyfriend and their two furry children. You love Briar from the minute that she meets Chase, drunk and thinking she has 4 legs! It has become one of my favorite contemporary young adult reads!

Speaking of our drunken cheerleader, Briar, you can’t help but lover her and feel for her.

Why not write about first kisses, first crushes, or trying to explain to your father you were bitten by your boyfriend, who happens to be a werewolf? The formatting and editing is not optimal, but not so bad that it was difficult to read the book. Things got heavy when they headed to Montana.

It made me sad that her parents weren’t involved in her life like they should have been. Editorial Reviews About the Author J. There’s a problem loading this menu chasiing now. There was a problem filtering reviews right now.

The beginning was just a little slow for me, but once the story picked up, it was very chasiing to put down! There are examples of boys disrespecting girls and frank discussions of the need for teens to be responsible about sex, and a few makeout scenes, but no overt descriptions of sexual acts.

BUT if I was in my early teens, I would have been captivated by this fantasy and the rugged, handsome Chase. I’ve always hated getting to the end of a really great novel, and feeling let down because it didn’t end the way I thought it should. It was truly sweet.

JC Isabella made me wish I had a cowboy to love. May 11, Emily rated it it was amazing Shelves: When on impulse Chase invites Briar to spend the summer at his ranch, he is as amazed as he is delighted that she instantly and enthusiastically agrees to go.

I wasn’t sure I would like Briar going into the book. She thought her senior year of high school was going perfectly, until the night her drink was spiked at a party by one of her so called friends.

Once in awhile a book will come along that may not have a huge plot line or b meaning or even excitement and suspense, but it still makes you fall head over boots in love. Other than the heroine, against her will, being “slipped a mickey” in the beginning of the book, there are no instances of teen drugs or drinking in this book.
